If you would also like to donate or allow us to borrow fabric markers, we would greatly appreciate it!! Field Day is June 12.

- As the weather gets warmer, we just wanted to send a little reminder that students need to be very careful to follow HCS dress code. Some common infractions are:
- Spaghetti straps on girls or low cut arm holes on the boys
- Short skirts without tights or shorts for the girls…although the rule is finger tip length, please be aware that at this age they still play on the playground, sit on the floor/ground, do cartwheels etc…
- Sheer shirts without a HCS appropriate undershirt
- Reminder: Three missing or incomplete assignments will result in detention. Also, no fidget spinners are allowed in class.
- One of our fourth graders, Maddy, is raising awareness for Epilepsy for her I.C.E. project. She has requested that we wear purple on May 23 in support of Epilepsy Awareness
- The Reading SOL is May 24 and the Math SOL is June 1. Please get lots of sleep and a good breakfast!

- 15 Minute Litter Pick Up Challenge (April 24th-May 26th)
- Please remember that candy and gum is not allowed in class or in the hallways. With parent permission a treat is fine for lunch, but gum is not allowed in school. Also, any candy found out when not in the cafeteria will be thrown away and silence lunch will be assigned. It is really important that we follow all school policy and uphold the Spratley way!

- Morning Drop Off Procedure Change- The side door will no longer be open for safety reasons. You may still drop off your students in the PUP area, they will need to walk around to the front door. - Aluminum can and plastic bag collection- Our Ecology Club recycles aluminum cans for money to help fund environmental projects. Please send in your cans!
- We are also participating in the TREX bag collection. Any "soft" plastic such as grocery bags will be collected, weighed, and recycled. The winning school will receive a bench made from recycled plastic.
- We have school Monday and Tuesday next week and new material may be taught. If your child will be absent, they are responsible for making up any missed work.
- If you are having trouble getting on Google Classroom, make sure the student is correctly logged into their email account.

- The PTA Reflections contest is due soon. The categories are Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. Typically we do not see many entries in the city for dance, film, music, or photography so students have a great chance of placing in the city. Please consider having your child participate. Be creative. Make sure your artistic endeavor is attached to the cover securely. Complete by September 16 for entire HW credit.
