This is my twelfth year teaching with Hampton City Schools. Prior to teaching, I spent 20 years working with the American Red Cross in the blood collections and research departments. Among my professional teaching experiences, participating in the "Teaching American History" grant was one of the most exciting. I had the opportunity to explore the local historical sites as well as learn teaching strategies to engage students in social studies. My husband Dan and our daughters, Sara and Erin, and I enjoy watching the Pilots play baseball and walking the boardwalk at Fort Monroe. I enjoy gardening, origami, and reading mysteries. This year is bound to be the BEST year yet! Let's get started! |
